Yep, still playing this game.

In 2025, they increased the level cap to 80. Today I reached it going my own pace. It was similar to level 50 making you do tedious tasks.The xp requirement was not a problem this time as it wasn’t that much from level 50. The most tedious tasks were walking 200, 300 and 400km but at least you didn’t have to do anything different.

Regarding pvp I got legend 12 times in a row which is absolutely insane to me. Now, it’s too hard and I’m enjoying playing it causally and not stressing about it any more.

The game now has platinum medals. I’m happy to say I have the platinum medal for magikarp and rattata. There was also an event a few weeks ago where they spawned all the unown from incense so I went from bronze to platinum on that in a weekend.

In 2025 Scoply bought pokemon go from Nitantic. I thought this might be the one hope/chance that the game might finally care about fixing it’s bugs but nope the game is still a buggy mess. I have given up all hope on that now.

Pokemon Go celebrated 10 years not long ago. The main reason I’m still playing it is because it gets me outside and walking.
